Hamilton Surveying was founded by Jack A. Hamilton in 1978. It began as a two person firm and has grown to an organization of 30 people. The corporation provides surveying, civil engineering, construction, hydrologic, GIS and CAD services to clients in Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Kentucky. On January 1, 1992, the firm was reorganized and the name was changed to Jack A. Hamilton & Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers and Surveyors. The new name more accurately reflects the broad range of services now provided. These services naturally developed from an ever increasing range of surveying and engineering activities. We currently have four divisions within the company to accomodate these services:

Hamilton & Associates client base is made up of mining, industrial, and governmental clients as well as individual property owners. Services are being provided for several waste disposal projects in Ohio. Selected field and office personnel have completed the OSHA required 40 hour health and safety training, complying with OSHA standard 29CFR 1910.120. Our staff also includes MSHA certified refuse impoundment inspection personnel and ODOT certified bridge inspection personnel. All personnel have received MSHA mandated annual training for underground or surface mine work as necessary. The field surveying staff consists of three crews (two or three persons). Office support is provided by five registered surveyors, two registered civil engineers, numerous support technicians, and permitting specialists. The firm maintains workers compensation and general liability insurance.
